Una nueva enfermedad pone en discusión y revisión los protocolos de intervención nutricional que se realizan en las distintas instituciones dando oportunidad a mejorarlos no solo para la atención de las personas que sufren Covid-19 sino para todas las personas internadas. Se necesitarán muchos estudios de investigación para conocer la forma de valorar el estado nutricional de los pacientes infectados con SARS-CoV2 y el tratamiento nutricional óptimo y específico para las distintas formas de presentación de la infección. Actualmente, no hay duda de que el tratamiento nutricional debe ir acompañado y ser parte integral del tratamiento global del paciente..
